Some words to take to heart, some words to live by, some words to get (more) liberated in the pursuit of artistic endeavours. Definitely a good thing to read.

I know a lot of us were expecting Advertising, Promotion, and other aspects of Integrated Marketing Communications to be good, but I have to say, this book actually exceeded my expectations. I have a lump in my throat and I can't stop thinking about it. I usually spend time making detailed notes while reading a book but, at one point, I opened Notes on my computer just to type "this is so good"

There are two types of books, usually, that makes one feel like there are no words to describe the experience: They are either unbelievably detrimental, or exceptionally (and positively) impactful. Given the overall high rating, it is redundant to tell, to which category does Advertising, Promotion, and other aspects of Integrated Marketing Communications belong. I don't think there are that many books, especially fiction, that could leave such a profound effect on a reader's mind.

This is the sort of book Advertising, Promotion, and other aspects of Integrated Marketing Communications reads to feel worldly. Just like the spate of American pop fiction in the late eighties, this is overwhelmingly colonized literature, in that it pretends to reveal some aspect of the 'other' culture, but on closer inspection (aside from the occasional tidbit) it is a thoroughly western story, firmly ensconced in the western tradition.
